Detroit Electronic icon DJ Godfather, one of the pioneers of the Ghettotech sound, and one of the most influential figures in the city's unique take on the Electro sound, makes a return to his own imprint Databass Records, with his first full length Electro album since he began his illustrious career nearly 30 years ago.
Dropping "Electro Beats For Freaks", DJ Godfather delivers 44 versatile tunes ranging from the deep, dark, Electro Funk like "King of the Circle", to fierce Techno Bass bombshells like "Allow Me To Introduce Myself", falling into the aura of songs like the mellowed out "Rebirth of a City"; an Electro/Techno production full of mechanic, soulful funk in pure Motor City fashion! Then there are some instant Ghettotech classics like the song "Jit Like Me", that coupled with timeless feelgood Electro masterpieces like "Late Night Funk", make for a well rounded, and very satisfying album from start to finish.
DJ Godfather's "Electro Beats For Freaks" was released on November 20th, via his own Databass Records, and is an absolute must have for lovers of that Detroit style! You can find it on Beatport, as well as as Spotify and others.
