Kid Ginseng - Twenty One

Kid Ginseng, cut chemist for legendary band Tom Tom Club, as well as mastermind behind one of the most shrewd Electro labels around, Kraftjerkz, is a man who stays very busy not just in studio, but in the music scene in general, bringing the music to many corners of the world, especially around the New York metropolitan area.

Recently, Kid Ginseng dropped another collection of his signature Detroit Electro dancefloor killers on wax, tracks that while not the most soulful or melodic perhaps, still carry tremendous rhythmic weight, aided by a very keen sense for the funk that is in many ways unmatched in the scene. This guy is literally born of the funk, and tracks that bounce to the sonic warmth and density of the 808 kick like the opening tune, while others summon the full audacious spirit of Detroit's underground like "Roller Rink Scratch" (feat. DJ Quest), are a testament to the fierce vision for the dancefloor that Kid Ginseng has for Electro music.

Kid Ginseng's "Twenty One" released October 9th, 2021, on a limited vinyl run, and can be found at many of your favorite retailers like Clone and Juno, as well as the Kraftjerkz Bandcamp page; where you can also find this release in digital formats.
