Espen T. Hangard is perhaps not a name you are familiar with in the Electro scene, being that for the last 30 years he spent much of his life dedicated to composing and producing Norwegian Metal. However, about 10 years ago, and through the influence of artists like Drexciya, Kraftwerk, and Depeche Mode, he began seeking out hardware-based instruments such as the TB-303, Jupiter 4, and SH-101, finding that not only does he have a deep passion for this stuff, he is also damn good at it!
Recently, Norwegian start-up label Galleberg Forlag released Espen T. Hangard's debut vinyl EP that is really one you should not miss. Truly refined, yet eccentric, boundary-pushing Electro vibes that show just how deep the artist's understanding of the music really is.
In this new vinyl outing called "Primær", you will find 9 new raw, analog-infused, and deeply crafted tunes ranging from styles like that of Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express", to the faster more aggressive vibes of songs like "Turbo", premiered recently on Dark Science Electro, and displaying tougher influences from artists such as The Exaltics. You can purchase the vinyl here.
