Long-time veteran of obscure Electro Petar Tassev aka MANASYt, the Bulgarian artist now based in China, and with a long history in the scene on prestigious labels such as Touchin' Bass, Bunker, and now Amsterdam-based outfit Musar Recordings, marks his second return to the label to deliver "Inferior Subjects".
Released on digital download, as well as a special analog cassette version, which also includes an exclusive digital download via Bandcamp, this new album features 8 previously unheard of tunes recorded between the period of the first decade of the new millenium, found on an old computer, and mastered by Sam John at Precise Mastering to deliver an impeccable curation representing in its original form, that raw, mysterious, and obscure sound that catapulted MANASYt to international popularity in the underground Electronic music scene more than 10 years ago.
Expect to hear absolutely ingenious tunes, bathed in sinister analog tones, and decorated by a malevolent sonic palette that will spook you at every turn, while keeping a rather classy and groovy vibe that doesn't stray terribly far from the styles of artists like Solvent or Lowfish...just a little darker, and a bit more macabre.
MANASYt's "Inferior Subjects" is out now, and can be found primarily through the Musar Recordings Bandcamp. Support true underground Electro!
