A beat packed remix bundle of Oliver Way's "Dust Storm", just hit the digital record shops on December 7th. The well-received first offering, "From The Shadows", by one half of Detroit Grand Pubahs, has sparked reworks by Robert Hood, Aphrohead (aka Felix da Housecat), Scan X, Ben Sims, Esteban Adame, DJ 3000, Ben Long and Barrow Boy.
The original version of "Dust Storm" follows the album’s intro and features husband and wife team Jasmin and Liam Nolan on vox and sitar. Now some syncopated heavyweights have fused their programming know-how into an astonishing remix album.
Riding a wind driven wave of background atmospherics and keyed mania, a well-healed bassline propels the listener toward a shore of Electro brilliance. Plaid's remix gives the first hint of the intensity of the oncoming electrified "Dust Storm".
Si Begg Remix
Put your Stillsuit on and get ready for the oncoming "Dust Storm" of bass, mutilated vocals and funky drum lines that are about to over take your local auditory field. Si Begg never disappoints with his unique innovative style, and he doesn't hold back on this cut.
Exzakt & BFX Remix
This track builds into an Electro Bass fervor of drum and synthesized goodness. Just back from a European tour, Exzakt joins another South Florida heavyweight, BFX, for this crucial Electro jam.
Deep bass joins a proper female vocal to accompany driving melodies and effected sitar to give this track a rugged dark ambience. Plaster pushes forward deeper into the "Dust Storm" with this blinding, masterfully placed remix.
Oliver Way - Dust Storm (Remixes) is out now at all the best digital record shops. Don't forget to check out the original album "From the Shadows" released back in April 2018.
