If you ever wanted to immerse yourself in a rich world of 80's inspired pads, leads, strings, and drones, while those perplexing, gleaming sequences do their magic in completely stimulating your soul from the inside out, but perhaps felt you never quite were able to achieve that in studio? Maybe the new UVX670 plug-in from UVI will do the trick for you.
Inspired and designed after two fairly underrated Japanese synthesizers made by influential company Akai: the VX600, and the AX73; both 6-voice analog poly synths featuring a really great sound, and for their simplistic user interface, a rather complex architecture with the latter even allowing you to modulate the filter cutoff with the VCO, the UVX670 combines the power of both these synths into one versatile and very affordable plug-in.
UVI began their quest in bringing you the UVX670 by restoring both an AX73 and a VX600 to factory condition, concocting a variety of sounds such as Basses, Brass, and Leads for example, sampling each sound per note, and using Prism converters and careful editing to give the UVX670 the highest quality sound possible.
From its user interface, you basically begin work with both synthesizers at your fingertips, laid out left to right and dubbed the "AX 7" and "VX 6", allowing you to select voices, modulation targets, envelopes, etc, and finally mixing the signals of both synths through a selection of great sounding effects such as a 3 band EQ, Thorus, a multi-mode ensemble, Drive, Phasor, Delay, and Sparkverb, which as UVI states, will allow you to: "Both polish or completely transform your sounds easily, without the need for other plugins".
The UVI UVX670 needless to say is a beast and a must have for all those 80's Sci-Fi nerds such as myself, and is available now for an introductory price of $49, which will go up to $79 after July 15th! Don't miss a great price on a great tool for your arsenary!
