The Urban Connections netlabel; founded in 2015 by Spanish Electro artist Amper Clap, has been one of the most dedicated and consistent sources of innovative electronic music since, providing lovers of the sound all around the world, an enormous wealth of music, and much of it believe it or not...absolutely for free!
Already up to the 17th volume in their staple compilations that over the years have presented the works of artists such as Supreme.ja, Commuter, Fleck E.S.C., TECHControl, and too many others to even begin to mention, Urban Connections; a very busy label during this global pandemic, returns for a summer quickly heating up with a collection of 12 versatile and eclectic electronic tunes by artists like AM-ALF, Ian Lee, The Adapt, and X-Truder to name but a few.
Traversing a wide spectrum of complex sonic arrangements; from the dreamy and atmospheric, like Modulant's two gorgeously composed gems you will find on this record, to the dark, brooding, and tenacious like Plural Drama's "Me Embelesa", or perhaps the soulful, slower tempo vibes of songs like DJ Hash's "Aurora From Space", this compilation has a little something for everyone out there, and continues a legacy of encompassing the huge range of talent the Electro scene has to offer, in cohesively curated compilations that present incredible variety without overwhelming the listener with too many choices.
"Urban Connections: XVIII" was released on June 14th, 2021, and can be downloaded directly from the label's Bandcamp. As with all the previous Urban Connections compilations, this is a free release, so don't pass this one up!
